Summer is FLYING by!!! Here are the updates on what we have been up to:

Our nephew Carter turned 3 years old so we all had fun with the fam at his fun pool party!!!

We backpacked into Whitepine up Logan Canyon and spent the night. It's always good to have some time to get away to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I took some time to read and nap, Connor and Jake on the other hand couldn't sit still for 2 minutes. This is what happens when 2 boys with a hatchet find a dead tree...

It was my first time ever sleeping under the stars. I've definitely had better nights of sleep, but it wasn't was bad as I was expecting!

Jake's mom, Susan, and Aunt, Carol, hiked in the next morning to spend some time with us and hike back out with us. We had such a great time!

Koda was pooped right out after 4 miles in and 4 miles out.... we had to give her a good bath to get all the sap out of her fur and she couldn't even stay awake for it. It was hilarious to see her falling asleep in the tub!

August also means Cache County Fair and Rodeo!!! We were able to go up Saturday night to spend some quality time with the family!

My old roommate Kamille got home from her mission in Australia, so we got together with the friends and played and little tennis, had homemade pizza, and went for a swim!

Jake is famous!!! He is on the inside of the hind leg of one of the famous horses in Ogden on 25th street. Jake had his picture taken and it was printed in a book titled "I am Ogden." Low and behold it showed up on the horse with the other pictures!!!! He is one HOT model, especially in spandex!!!

As you can see...my favorite things about summer are FAMILY, FRIENDS, and JAKE!!!
