Hogle Zoo

Cooper Loved the zoo! Our favorite part was the bird show. Cooper kept asking for "more."

The giraffe kept licking the side of the building....funny to see his tongue.

Jake has finished working at the Bike Shoppe and returned to Kennedy Jr. High this week to get ready for school to start. So disappointed that summer is coming to an end!

The Tour and Fair

Last week was the Tour of Utah, a professional cycling race. 2 of the stages started in Ogden so of course we had to go check it out and cheer them all on!
This is Chris Horner, one of the big names in U.S. cycling and had just returned from the olympics.
At the top of Trappers cheering on the riders! I think Cooper liked to watch the motorcycles better than the bikes though!

Over the weekend we went up to Logan to spend some time at the Cache County Fair, one of our favorite traditions. Saturday morning Jake and I set out with a big group of his family members to bike around Bear Lake. Jake's done it several times, but this was my first! It was perfect weather for our 50 miles and we had a blast!
Here are some pictures from the rest of our day:
Cooper just hangin' out with his cousin Carson.

Cooper with his cousins Aubrey and Carter on the tractor.

Some good ol' fashion family time!
Those bull fighters are much cooler from a distance!
Getting an autograph from Randy Munns, the rodeo clown.

Too bad we have to wait a whole year for next years fair!

Foam Fest

Last week we went swimming with our friend Stacy and her son Connor. Just hangin' out after getting out of the pool!
One day Cooper was wearing Koda's collar on his head as he walked around the house. Usually when it's on Koda he will grab a hold of it and lead her around saying "come here." He loves to play fetch with Koda, but sometimes forgets that he is playing with HER toys and gets upset when she won't listen when he tells her to "drop it." It's pretty funny to watch them together. Cooper always wants Koda in the same room he is in and always wants to take her with when we leave the house.

Last Friday I did the Foam Fest down at Fort Buenaventura in Ogden. It's a 5k that also includes obstacles involving water, mud, and foam.
This is our team BEFORE the race.
My friend and teammate Mindy after doing down one of the foam slides!
Jake was trying to get my attention to stop and pose for a picture, but I wasn't quite getting the message!
Coming across the last obstacle with one of my teammates!
And this is our team AFTER the race!
Definitely one of the funnest things I have ever done!

Swimming & St. George

We have been able to take Cooper swimming a few times this summer. He loves it! He loves to jump off the side of the pool into our arms and then will say "kick" over and over again as he's kicking his little legs to get back to the side of the pool.
A few weeks ago Jake went on a backpacking trip for a few days with his friend Brett. Unfortunately he didn't take the camera, but they had a great time hiking and camping and having some much needed manly time.

Once he got back, I took a trip down to St. George with the girls!
We went to see Aladdin and loved every minute of it!
I got to spend most of my time while in St. George with the Jensen clan (Jake's family). They are so good to me...I'm so glad I get along so well with them. It's always a party when they get together!

But I was lucky this year and also got to spend a little time with my mom, Grandma, and little sis!

I had a blast shopping, doing nails, swimming and relaxing with the girls! I'm so lucky to have a husband that lets me get away to do things like this.

While I was gone though, I REALLY missed my boys!
Cooper loves to wear Jake's shoes.
He was having fun pretending this was his helmet.

Both Jake and I had a lot of fun on our little adventures, but it was definitely good to get back home and be together again!
