Disney Princesses
You Are Ariel!
Description: Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom.
I'm not sure how accurate it is! I agree with the naive part, but I don't know if I can admit to the fiesty part of it, although there are probably several people that could prove me wrong!
The Questions...And My Answers:
Let's start out with something basic. Which word appeals to you the most?
-Trust
You're broke and your stuck in the middle of no where. How do you get home?
-Offer my maid services to a local hotel and work there until I've earned enough money to get home
Which of these careers appeal to you the most?
-At Home Mom.
IT'S MOVIE NIGHT! Eh, but you only have enough money for one and they have a very small selection. Which one would you chose?
-Mermaid
What is your style?
-Scrubs with the occasional dress up day. There's more effect that way.
Alright, some little wench at school is going around behind you and talking all kinds of junk about you. Yet when you're around she treats you like her best friend. How do you react to this?
-Intelligently confront her about it in private.
Out of these choices which is your favorite color?
-Turquoise.
Your going on a date.. Which of these would you enjoy doing the most?
-Laying next to a waterfall in the middle of the wilderness
LAST QUESTION! If you were in a fairy tale.. What would YOUR prince charming be like?
-The one and only man who I would sacrifice my life for, and who I can kid around with.
Well, now you know a little bit more about me, but now I need to know...

St. George Trip
We had a great time hanging out with all of Jake's family, we miss being able to spend as much time with them as we did last summer when we lived closer.
We even got to go miniature golfing. It was a lot of fun becuase this is what Jake and I did for our first date and we hadn't been since then! It brought back some good memories! Jake and I both tied...(for last place!) but I did get 2 hole-in-ones (not by skill, but by luck!) We are sad that the weekend is already over... we didn't want the fun to end!Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Rodeo Time!
Monday we went to the Ogden Pioneer Day's Rodeo. It was the first time either of us had been to this rodeo and we had a blast...Chalk it up as one of our favorites! We went with a couple from our ward (Kevin and Kendra), Nate and Karly, and we also had James and Aaron come who are members of our Sunday School class. It was a party! We stopped to get Little Ceaser's Pizza and then had to try to find a parking spot and seats! It started out REALLY hot but when the sun went down it was perfect weather!
They started the night off with 4 skydivers flying into the stadium, the last one was carrying the U.S. flag. They finished off the night with the "Ogio Airforce"...3 guys on motorcycles doing crazy tricks! It was all very entertaining. There were a bunch of good cowboys and cowgirls that competed and some great bucking bulls. It really made me miss the old rodeo days, but I sure ma glad that Jake enjoys rodeos as much as I do!
Connor, this picture is for you, to prove that Jake is putting his Biggest Buck Buckle to good use!

The Summer Can't be Coming to an End!!!!
We've had a really busy, but fun week! It started out last Sunday with the fireworks at WSU. We decided to hike up Beus canyon (just above WSU) to watch them with our friends Nate and Karly and their cute little dog Fern. It's a good thing Jake gets to play with Fern every now and again...It does make him more puppy hungry, but at least it puts his withdrawals at ease for a few minutes. It was way cool to see the fireworks from up above like that! It was definitely different from watching them above you. We even saw one go off in the parking lot! Luckily we remembered our flashlights for the hike back down in the dark!
Monday, Jake and I both got off work a little bit early so we called Tammie, Jeff and Carter to see if we could meet them to go swimming at Tammie's parents pool in West Valley. We were stoked! We ate all of her mom's yummy taco salad and had a blast playing in the water! We love playing with Carter and hope that someday when we can have our own, he or she will be just as cute and smart as Carter is! Jake and Jeff got pretty into their basketball game, but my favorite part was the slide!
On Wednesday it was Jake's boss's birthday. Happy Birthday Matt!!! They were kind enough to invite us over for dinner and yummy cherry pie. Thursday was the crit here in Ogden that Jake and the other guys from the Bike Shoppe raced in. They do a lap that is just over a mile long over and over again for half an hour. They have 2 "premium laps" that whoever comes across the line first wins an extra prize. Well, I have to brag on my bebe because he not only won a premium lap, but he also won the entire thing! (He would never let me post this on here if he was here right now!) He worked his fanny off and I was so proud of him! I definitely look up to Jake for his determination...not many people can beat him in that area! The only bad thing about the night is that I forgot my camera!!! GRRR!
Friday night we had a ward social. It was fun to get to mingle with the people from the ward and meet some new people. We had the potluck at the Ogden Nature Park, which I didn't even know existed! They have a splash pad with lots of fun colorful little fountains and things and they did a water balloon toss. We really enjoy the ward we are in and are still working on getting to more people because the ward is sooooo big!
Well, these are the highlights of the week, the rest just involved many hours of working! We are really going to miss summer when school starts!

Service Rocks!
The Children's Health Connection provides thousands of underprivileged children to come and have many different services performed for free. They received a dental check-up, medical exam, had blood work done if needed, hearing and vision tests, developmental tests, got a hair cut, received a new pair of underwear and socks, got a new book bag with a new book in it....and from what I could tell had a great time.
It made me really sad to see some of the conditions of these kids' teeth. Some kids were 8-10 years old and didn't know what floss was. One girl was 8 years old and her bottom 6-year-old molars (permanent teeth) were completely rotted to the gums. It was a good opportunity for us to teach the kids and parents about their oral health, but it is also discouraging because I know they probably won't do much to change how they take care of their teeth.
Although it was a long day, it was really fun to be part of such a great thing and be one of many volunteers!

Happy Independence Day!
We had a blast this last weekend! It was so nice to have a 3 day weekend! Thursday night we drove up to Logan after work to meet Jake's family up by Utah State University to watch the fireworks. We had pizza and LOTS of yummy treats!
Saturday one of my best friends, Kelsey, got married in the Logan temple. It was so fun to see her so happy! I loved one piece of advice the sealer gave to them, which was to "Create a GREAT love story!" That is definitely a lot of work, but well worth it! Congrats Kels! You looked gorgeous!

TAGGED!
Ten Years Ago: I was only 11! I was probably just enjoying my innocent little naive life playing soccer, riding horses, playing with my friends and enjoying spending hours on my easy 6th grade homework (I used to LOVE school!). A lot can change in 10 years!
Five things on today's "to do" list: 1. Do a load of laundry. 2. Balance the checkbook. 3. Cut Jake's Hair. 4. Sweep and mop the floor. 5. Vaccuum
Snacks I enjoy: Cheese sticks, Apples, Chips & Salsa, and my favorite Sunday snack...Jake's sticky buns!
Things I would do If I was a Millionaire: Get to the point that we were just comfortable in life with a decent home and cars and then INVEST the rest to save for later in life when we were ready to serve our mission and travel.
Places I have Lived: Wellsville, Logan, Hyde Park, Ogden
Here are the people I am tagging: I dont' really care if anybody does it or not!
